·         56% of SA total volume loaded Adelaide, up from 45% in spite of withdrawal of 1 of 2 Singapore Airlines freighters in Dec08.

·        Volume loaded Adelaide up 29%.

·         Biggest gains

·        Fruit up 538T (71%), mostly Grapes/Melons/Stone Fruit to UAE/Singapore and Citrus/Melons to NZ

·        Vegetables up 94T (76%), mostly Potatoes to Hong Kong/Malaysia/Singapore

·        Fresh Meat up 39T (8%), mostly Horsemeat/Lamb to Belgium/Switzerland and Lamb to US. [Pork still dropping to Singapore]

·         Total Australia exports by air volume 78,874T, up 16% and value $10,054m, up 45% [mainly due doubling of WA export value to 62% of Australia total - Precious Stones + Metals]

·         All States/Territories export volume by air up excpt Qld, value all up except SA

·         Note SA export volume by sea up strongly to give SA total all modes volume 3,382T, up 32%, but value $2,183m down 7%.
